With great sadness I left
Canberra in December 2005.
Since arriving in Perth I've been very busy.
I love living in Perth but I miss my Canberra friends. Its been wonderful spending time with my elderly parents. In 2006 I completed my Bachelor of Education. It was very, very challenging. However getting a number of high distinctions made it worthwhile.
2010 was great - and at times quiet with Terry in Melbourne and Phil in Indo a lot and even Amanda away teaching. January was great holidaying in Bali and doing some teaching and ministry in Timika, Papua. Then was back to teaching - and a really challenging class. 'Out of the blue' I was asked to become the children's pastor at Churchlands Christian Fellowship. Initially, I was hesitant to leave teaching. However, I sensed God's house needed me. So, I am now a pastor. I really sense all my years of ministry in Canberra have prepared me for this. I now have a Children's and Family blog. You may want to have a look.
Earlier this year, Phil and I celebrated 25 years of marriage. Phil made it a real 'silver' occasion, giving a number of silver gifts. I'm enjoying my role at Churchlands. It's a real time of transition both work and family wise. With Terry having moved out and travelling and Amanda moving to Canberra in 2012 things are certainly changing. As well as continuing ministry at Churchlands I'm looking forward to doing some ministry in Asia in 2012.
